*Block Fortress: War (Video Game)

“On the Battlefield of War”

Block Fortress: War is an astounding game that truly blew my mind when I first played it, and still so today. I play it on my iPad Mini 1st Generation, and it is available on the App Store and the Google Play Store for mobile devices. I am thirteen, and enjoy real time strategy games. I love playing games a lot, and I have been playing Block Fortress: War for almost five weeks now.

Block Fortress: War is a game where you command your hero and your troops. Also, you can build turrets and walls to defend your troops. The objective of the game is to destroy the enemy barracks, and conquer their planet. There are five races that are all both unique and challenging in their own right in the game.

This game should not deceive you by both its title and its blocky feel. It is a hidden gemstone deep in the mines. It mixes both strategy and building on a virtual battlefield. The graphics are amazing compared to most other mobile games. With five races comes the challenge of utilizing it to its max potential, as well as endless hours of play. There is lots of creativity and innovation in this game. It uses the building aspect of Minecraft and sprinkles in war to create a virtual battlefield. Also, there is a multiplayer function, which greatly enhances play experience and makes it more competitive and interesting.

Some argue about the fact that it is hard to get rare minerals, which are the currency within Block Fortress: War. I would not say so at all. After completing the first race (Block Men) I have now stayed at a steady rate of six thousand rare minerals. Once I reached this phase, I never ran low again.

Also, some may say this game is too difficult, however I also disagree with this. The difficulty brings challenge to the game that otherwise wouldn’t be there. It helps bring the feeling of real war. You might have to replay a level a couple of times, but that all comes with the learning of the game and the genius of it as well.

I play a total of a level every two days. This is not to say that it isn’t fun, it’s just that it’s difficult, and I have to try multiple times to complete a level. However, it’s really satisfying to see that base blow up after hours of hard work and laboring.

This game costs $1.99 on the App Store and on the Google Play Store. I would say that it is worth a lot more than this. The playtime and the challenge really adds to the suspense and war-like features of this game. My friend showed it to me, and I expected a generic game about war, but I was wrong. I am blown away by this game, and I hope that everyone would get it.

I would rate this game a 9/10. It doesn’t receive perfect scores only because of its difficulty sometimes, but it is otherwise perfect. Having said this, you should get Block Fortress: War if you enjoy strategy games and a challenge. Block Fortress: War is worth the buy and definitely worth a try if you enjoy playing real time strategy games.
