Friday, January 28:

Math: We began looking at customary and metric benchmarks today. Please be sure to review your reference sheet and bring your STAAR Reference Chart every day. Start looking for these types of measurements around your house.

Wednesday, January 27:

Math: The Input/Output Tables stations yesterday were a great way to practice working with tables. Remember that a rule will stay the same throughout a specific table.

Science: The energy anchor charts that y'all created were really good! I am proud of your efforts, and I know that you will be very successful on both the vocabulary quiz and the unit test!

Tuesday, January 26:

Math: When we are given the output in a table we must do the opposite operation of the rule (ie., if the rule says to add, we subtract; if the rule says to multiply, we divide).

Science: Certain objects may produce or use several different types of energy. Remember the acronym MELTS to recall the five types that we have discussed:

Mechanical

Electrical

Light

Thermal

Sound

600, 300, 200, ...

Science: Keep studying the Energy section to prepare for the vocabulary quiz on Thursday and the Unit Test on Friday.
