Week of Jan. 11-15

Thursday, January 14:

Math: We looked at how to compare decimals today. Remember that when comparing a decimal to the tenths place and a decimal to the hundredths place, place a zero in the hundredths place of the tenths decimal to make it easier to see how they compare.

Science: Creating electrical energy with wires, batteries, and light bulbs was a lot of fun! We saw how the path must be closed in order for the light bulb to light. Any break in that simple series circuit will not allow the light bulb to light up. Check out the photos below! The catapults that you brought in were so cool! Not only did they look great, but they worked as well! Thank you so much for taking the time to show your creativity and hard work!
