Mini Biography

I have worked in Cy-Fair ISD for 13 years. I taught for eight years at Lieder Elementary: one year of Kindergarten, three years of first grade math and science, and four years of fourth grade math and science. During my time there, I was honored to be named Lieder's Spotlight Teacher for 2013-2014. I most recently taught 4th grade math and science for one year at Birkes Elementary, and I just completed four years as the Science Instructional Specialist at Bane Elementary. This is my first year as a Math Interventionist at Fiest.

I graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and from the University of Houston in 2005 with a Master of Education degree in Counseling. I obtained my teaching certification in 2007, and I completed my Principal Certification from SFA in 2014. I am currently working on both my Doctor of Education in Professional leadership degree and Superintendent Certification through the University of Houston.

My wonderful wife, Valerie, is a stay-at-home mom and a virtual administrative assistant, and we have two wonderful children: a nine-year-old daughter named Corinne, and a seven-year-old son named Grey. Both attend Copeland Elementary.

In my spare time, I work as a lacrosse official. I am a former player for SFA's college club team, I coached 5th and 6th graders for five years, and I have officiated for 12 years. I love reading books, listening to music, watching movies, going to amusement parks, and spending time with my family.
