Annwyl Ddisgyblion Blwyddyn 9, Rhieni a Gwarcheidwaid,

Dyma gyfnod cyffrous yn eich gyrfa addysgol. Tra bod llawer o’ch pynciau dal yn orfodol, byddwch nawr yn medru dewis 3 phwnc o’r rhestr pynciau dewisol. Bydd rhaid i chi ddewis yn ofalus, gan ystyried pa yrfa yr hoffech ei dilyn.

Ar y wefan hon gallwch weld crynodeb o’r cyrsiau i gyd gan gynnwys y cyrsiau sydd yn orfodol i bawb. Dylech ddarllen y wybodaeth isod yn fanwl ac ystyried yr opsiynau yn ofalus.

Beth sy’n digwydd nesaf?

Llenwi’r holiadur cyntaf yn dweud pa 3 phwnc y byddech yn dymuno eu dilyn mewn byd delfrydol.
Bydd y colofnau opsiwn yn cael eu llunio i geisio sicrhau fod y rhan fwyaf o’r dysgwyr yn gallu gwneud o leiaf 2 o’u 3 dewis.
Bydd yr amserlen yn cael ei chreu.
Sylwer bydd angen i’r pynciau opsiwn gynnwys digon o ddysgwyr er mwyn sicrhau grwpiau sy’n hyfyw. Os nad oes digon o ddysgwyr wedi dewis cwrs, efallai na fydd modd i’r ysgol gynnig y cwrs hwnnw.

Mae’n bwysig iawn dewis y pynciau yn ofalus. Trafodwch adref. Gofynnwch am gyngor eich athrawon pwnc. Gofynnwch am gymorth gan eich Pennaeth Blwyddyn. Ystyriwch yn ofalus pa fath o yrfa yr hoffech ei dilyn cyn dewis.

Dear Year 9 Students, Parents and Guardians,

This is a very exciting time in your educational career. Whilst many of your subjects are still compulsory, you will now be able to choose 3 subjects form the subject option menu. You will need to choose these subjects carefully and consider what career path you would like to follow in the future.

On this website you will be able to see a summary of the courses offered including the courses that are statutory for all. Please read the information carefully and consider all the options available to you.

What happens next?

Fill in the first questionnaire noting which 3 subjects you would ideally like to follow.
The option columns will then be formed to accommodate the majority of pupils and enable them to choose at least 2 of their preferred options.
You will then need to choose subjects from the columns.
The timetable will be created.

Please note: The option subjects will need to have a certain number of pupils to ensure viability as the school will not be able to offer subjects if the number of pupils that have chosen it is too low.

It is important to choose your subjects carefully. Discuss the options at home. Ask your subject teachers for advice, as well as your Head of Year. Consider carefully what kind of career you would like to follow before making your decision.
