Day 2

Arribem el primer dia a l’escola Szkola Podstawowa nr 2 Polskich Olimpijczyków, on ens reben el director, el sr. Mariusz Maruszak, i les tres mestres coordinadores del projecte Erasmus +.

Ens acompanyen a fer una visita guiada per les instal·lacions del centre, on podem observar els diferents espais dels que disposen i aules de primer a vuitè:

• Gimnàs i instal·lacions exteriors d’educació física (pista de tennis, camp de futbol, 2 camps de bàsquet, voleibol i zona d’atletisme i llançaments).

• Biblioteca, on hi ha una mestra que s’encarrega de tenir cura de l’espai i l’alumnat hi pot anar durant el dia lliurement. També disposen del servei de préstec de llibres.

• “Day room”, una aula on hi pot anar tot l’alumnat en el moment en què no té classe durant tota la jornada escolar i, allà poden jugar, crear, construir… Sempre amb la supervisió d’un mestre. 

• Esbarjo amb tobogans i gronxadors.

• Estació meteorològica, on l’alumnat, amb el mestre de medi, poden anar a revisar les dades que proporciona el temps d’aquell dia.

• Menjador amb servei de càtering.

• Guixetes per l’alumnat i docent, cadascuna amb la seva clau particular.

• Impressores 3D

L’escola és de 3 línies, és a dir, consta de 3 grups per nivell i uns 25 alumnes per classe.

Les classes s’inicien a les 8 del matí i tenen una duració de 45 minuts amb descansos de 10 minuts, on poden sortir al passadís per descansar o interactuar amb la resta de companys/es.

El centre disposa d’un equip extens de psicopedagogues, psicòloges i vetlladores. Hi ha aules que tenen vetlladora durant tot l’horari escolar i, en moments puntuals, la psicopedagoga o la psicòloga pot realitzar sessions en petit grup per treballar certs aspectes emocionals.

En les aules de primer i segon, a part de les pantalles interactives i projectors, també disposen de pissarres amb pauta Montessori que permeten l’aprenentatge de l’escriptura en les etapes inicials de l’escolarització.

En el transcurs del recorregut per l’edifici, gaudim de les decoracions dels passadissos (dibuixos, jocs a terra, futbolins,..) i els diferents espais d’aules d’estar. 

Hem conegut la psicòloga del centre acompanyada del seu “Monstre de colors”, utilitzat en les seves classes per treballar els aspectes emocionals de l’alumnat.

Al finalitzar, ens expliquen detalladament el seu sistema d’ensenyament i funcionament de l’equip docent. Cada mestre és especialista de la seva àrea i no n’imparteix cap altra.

We arrive at the school Szkola Podstawowa nr 2 Polskich Olimpijczyków on the first day, where we are greeted by the principal, Mr. Mariusz Maruszak, and the three coordinators of the Erasmus + project.

They guide us on a tour around the school, where we can observe the different spaces they have and classrooms from first to eighth grade:

• Gym and outdoor physical education facilities (tennis court, football field, 2 basketball courts, volleyball and athletics and throwing area).

• Library, where there is a teacher who takes care of the space and the students can go there freely during the day. They also have a book lending service.

• "Day room", a classroom where all the students can go when they don't have class during the whole school day, and there they can play, create, build... Always under the supervision of a teacher.

• Playground with slides and swings.

• Weather station, where the students, with the science teacher, can go to check the data provided by the weather that day.

• Dining room with catering service.

• Lockers for students and teachers, each with their own private key.

• 3D printers

The school has 3 lines, it has 3 groups per level and about 25 students per class.

Classes start at 8 a.m. and last 45 minutes with 10-minute breaks, where they can go out into the hallway to rest or interact with the rest of their classmates.

The center has an extensive team of psychopedagogues, psychologists and supervisors. There are classrooms that have a supervisor throughout school hours and at specific times, the psychopedagogue or psychologist can hold small group sessions to work on certain emotional aspects.

In the first and second grade classrooms, apart from the interactive screens and projectors, they also have Montessori blackboards that allow learning to write in the initial stages of schooling.

During the tour of the building, we enjoy the decorations in the corridors (drawings, games on the floor, table football...) and the different living room spaces.

We meet the centre's psychologist accompanied by her "Colour Monster", used in her classes to work on the emotional aspects of students.

At last, they explain in detail their teaching system and how the teaching team works. Each teacher is a specialist in his/her area and does not teach any other.
