The routines narrative project was an effective introduction to proper interview framing and sequencing. It also was a good learning experience for face-time on camera. Overall though, the narrative turned out great and well displayed Elias' day-to-day.
For my 6 word story I chose the sentence "I am never playing basketball again." The story follows a missed shot that rolls around campus, making an impossible rebound. This video was a great learning experience for capturing angles from both high and low points of view.
Doing Physical Education as a profile was one of the most fun parts about taking video. In filming this video my biggest takeaway was to better adjust audio levels, and I think that my control of that improved over time. I love the fun energy displayed in this video and the competitive nature of the class.
One of my favorite things that I included in the how-to video was the opening sequence. I feel like this video showed both my hobby of music production, and my improvement in videography. Through this project, I learned to improve my sequencing and I displayed better knowledge of sound control.
The midterm profile was one of the longer videos I made this year, and through it I learned a lot about how to improve the quality of my work. I feel like this video is good, but could be improved by cutting out the "uh"s and "umm"s that are present through the interview. As a whole, I think the video is good at showing what Christian does during his free time, and it displays his hard work well.
My profile about SRA's winter basketball league is most definitely my favorite video I made this year. I feel like this video shows everything I learned through the semester and incorporates it into one project. The video is high quality, and represents the winter basketball league very well. I think the video will encourage many new players to sign up.
In Video and Broadcast, as the course moves on it is easy to see a major improvement in your work. Through the semester I've improved drastically on elements like editing and interviewing, making the challenges I once had into a strength of my work. My favorite part of this class was having the opportunity to create content about things that I am passionate about myself, and to share the great traits of people through my projects. For someone with minimal experience in creating videos, it's great that I can feel proud about some of my projects in such little time.
