This photo was taken as a part of our toy assignment and I really like how it turned out. I like how it looks like the Lego Octopus is untangling the lights.
This photo was taken from a worm's eye angle. I liked how all the branches were coming from the truck and I used them to fill the frame. I also like how the editing of the picture brought out the natural colors of the tree.
I like this picture because of the meaning behind it. All of the random works behind me are things I am grateful for. I like how I did the words being me and the smile on the front layer because the things I am grateful for are also the things that make me happy. I like that I took the gratitude project theme and made it personalized.
I took this photo of Natalie as a part of an extra credit assignment. The directions were to submit a photo that relates to an article about students being given lots of homework. We ended up winning the contest and the photo was posted on the front cover of the Panther Press.
I like this photo because of the coloring in it. I felt like the photo almost had a preset on it, but it didn't actually. I also like how well the movement is captured in the image.
This is a series of EMACE photos that were captured while carving pumpkins. I like these photos because of how they come together. I feel like with the way they all have a strong presence of orange in them make them come together as well as give a theme of pumpkin carving and Halloween since the color is so closely related to the holiday.
While out practicing subframing I took this photo of a duck. I liked the coloring in this photo a lot and how the yellow and green were so bright. I also liked how the subframe used was just straight out of nature. I also liked how I felt like you could see the different layers of selective focus in the photo.
This photo was taken as a part of a class scavenger hunt. We were tasked to take a photo using cell phones. I chose this because I would it would be a cool idea to take a picture of a picture. I like how selective focus was also incorporated.
Something I like about this photo is how I felt it was different from most other light-writing images. I like that I and my partner decided to continue the heart over and over again instead of just drawing it once.
This photo turned out to be one of my favriote photos from the ghost assignmnet. I liked how well Sabrina was shown as a ghost but I also liked how it was like she was looking down on the camrea from above. It shows a ghost looking over you and I like that.
I thought this photo was really intresitng with the editing done. I felt like it showed the vna infront going so fast there was smoke left behind and that is where the textured image came in. I also like how the person is just there like normal because then it gives a sense that they were just dropped off, or maybe left and forgotten.
I also like this photo due to the texture on top. To me the textured image reminded me of looking down at glistening water in a tropical area. I think it ties well into the image of the palm trees.
This photo was submitted for our selective focus assignment. I liked the photo because of how simple it is. I felt like it really captured the composition guideline.
I like the final product of this photo. It took me a while to figure out what I wanted to do fo this assignment, I wanted to do something that wasn't random. I wanted the two photos to fit together. I think I achieved just that with this. The drawn image is a person walking and the image it was placed on has a path so the two worked really well.
I liked this photo because of the dramatic change from the editing. The photo was originally taken on a decently cloudy day with a really light sky. Because of the preset placed on the photo it appears to be a lot darker but it still looks like its natural.
This photo was taken as a part of one of our scavenger hunts. I like how this pile of candy fills the entire frame. The editing done on the photo also makes all of the individual colors on the wrappers pop and I like that.
I liked this triptych because of the story that it told. You could clearly tell that she was entering the school building. I also like that it showed the steps of it, how you have to ring in and then go through the diffrent doors.
At first, when taking this I was kind of just messing around and seeing what I could do with the lights but I came to like how this one turned out. To me, it almost looked like the toy person was thinking. The lights looked to be like a thought bubble. I also think the way they are twisted and tangled could represent some confusion or anxiety.
I like this photo a lot because it was taken at the very beginning of the course. I felt like this was a good photo and one of the first genuinely good ones I took. I also like how the editing was done, it puts the focus on the vase with the utensils in it. I also like the black and white coloring.
I really like how the blue toy was popping in this image. I felt it not only was a strong subject because of the selective focus, but also because of the colors strong presents.
I like this photo mostly because I thought it was fun to do but also because of how it turned out. I like how the smile is green and it is poping because happiness does shine bright like the green is.
I like this photo because it was a skill I always thought was so hard and looked so complicated to do but then I did it. I like how it is clearly edited, but still edited well.
After finishing the photography one course I am so glad I stuck with it and finished it. At first I was very skeptical but I am glad I took it. I learned so much in a world that I barely even knew existed. I was unaware how much actually went into photography. I am also glad that I now have a baseline knowledge of how to take pictures and capture different things. I feel as though it is a good skill to have because even though I will not have an actual camera with me at times I will typically have my phone on me in which I am constantly taking pictures with.
