Everything about this picture I love. The focus on Haley's face, the reflection of her in the lockers, the blue/green/yellow colors. I think the background and placement of her face makes the picture more interesting compared to just standing straight forward.
In this picture all the colors and lines are crisp. I love how simple and basic this picture is.
I love all three of these pictures by themselves but a triptych is perfect to show them all together. It reminds me of a movie scene and the yellow-ish tint adds to the idea of it being on a tv.
This is a perfect portrait to show all of Haley's features in a more interesting spot then just a black or white background. Her blue eyes against the wood with her matching sweatshirt all go perfectly together.
This picture was orginally for a triptych but I loves how frozen every part of Haley is and I love how it looks like she is having so much fun. This ended up being one of my favorite pictures.
Nature is one of my top favorite things to shoot because of how pretty everything looks. There is color and texture in every photo.
For the pumpkin shoot I wanted to capture it in the best way to represent all the work that goes into carving a pumpkin. I think this photo really shows that.
Taking these pictures was so much fun because you really didn't know how it was going to come out and part of the fun was figuring out how to make each picture better then the last.
This pose and picture is very simliar to others I have done with Haley before. This one is different because of the black backgroud which adds a dramatic element to the picture.
To anyone else this looks very werid and random. But if you look at the textures and the color contrasting agasinst one another. It can be really pretty. Green and the pink with the silver. The sharp focus help be able to see he textures which are the main fcator of this photo.
The light coming from the side is what makes this picture differnet from other then just a black background. I love the sharp shadows on her face and shoulders.
For these pictures, I like how the setting shows the track and fence on the turn. I think it adds something different than just a plain background.
The sharp focus and contrast to the background is what makes these pictures so cool.
The picture. of the tennis court has become my favorite picture I have taken over this course. It is fun to go and look for repetition, which is everywhere if you're looking.
I love this picture because it shows what this class is like. Kids standing on things taking pictures with their friends. I also love the colors in this picture it reminds me of the transition from summer to fall.
The selective focus and the pink in Sophies sweatshirt against the blurred green of the green mile add to this picture.
I love this photo because of the bright sunlight and sharp focus. Even if it burned Haley's eyes to try to get the picture.
Everything about this picture is so perfect. I love the sunlight along with the shadows and the sharp focus and zero blurryness at all.
The lines in this picture all lead to Julie and I loev the sunlight and shadows in this picture.
Over this class, I have learned so much about not only photography but it has changed the way I look at the world. After this, I can see almost anything as a picture. While watching shows or movies I can't help but notice when there is selective focus or the rule of thirds. I didn't think that a photography class would help me see anything in a different light but it really did.
