This is selective color, I used selective color to make this photo way more interesting. By having no color in the inside of the frame the photo can somehow tell a story.
In this photo, I was able to freeze the action of the waving flags. Changing up the setting can allow you to freeze an action and make a cool photo.
For this photo, I used the lines from a spider web to lead to the little figurin. Leading lines help draw the attention to the subject.

With using the refection of a small mirror I reflected the bright colors from a tree with a boring background of dying grass. There is a lot you can do with this assignment because there are refections almost everywhere.
Rule of Thirds and leading lines take place in this photo. The two ducks are on the rule of thirds line directing your attention to them. The lines from the metal ladder help guide your attention.
Leading lines from the wood direct the viewer's focus to the little duck. Leading lines help draw the viewer to the main subject.
This was a really fun assignment, being able to play with toys and experiment with lights andcolors and all sorts of props. I chose this photo because in has so many cool colors and feterse. I used selective focus to make the lights and wirs pop while the toy car ws blurred.
For this assignment, we were given forks and spoons to do whatever we wanted with them. I took a metal spoon and used it to hold a bug. The contrast in colors makes an interesting photo.
For this assignment, we found a place we wanted to travel to and photoshopped ourselves into it. This was a very creative assignment, I got to try out a few things and experiment.
I used repetition in this photo by lining up toy army men. The repetition can make a story. I like how the lighting behind the toys makes them a shadowy silhouette.
While in photography I learned to see all the little things. My eye got caught on the melting ice cream and realized it would make a good photo.
The one light challenge was setting a light at different angles around the main subject. This makes a glow and shadows the subject. This always makes for an interesting shot.
For this photo, I took a headshoot of Leeah. I drew focus to her eyes by placing them on the top rule of third line. With the coloring and expression on her face this photo seems to show a lot of emotion.
I used a small mirror under a pile of leaves in this photo. The refection from the mirror almost looks like it could be a puddle on the ground.
For this project, I took two photos I liked, one of a plant and one of a bird's eye angle of a girl. Then I layered them together and traced the girl to make it look like a girl sitting on a plant. This assignment was really fun because I could use my imagination to make a story.
This abstract photo is just a picture of the side of the dumpster. I liked how the bright blue color poped with the rusty brown part.
This was a really fun shot to take. I was able to capture a bug on a wood pillar outside. The lines from the pillar lead your direction to the bug. The bug is also on the rule of thirds line.
Over time I have gotten a lot more creative with my photos. These demonstrate leading lines and how they evolved.
Each of these photos demonstrates an angle. Over time I got better at making more interesting photos with my angles.
I have learned a lot this year about how to take photos. I started off with a lot of bad shots, as I progressed most of the photos I took where really good. Some parts of the course where a challenge, such as learning ho to photoshop for the first time. I loved taking this class, I really liked that I could be creative and choose what I wanted to take photos of.
