Headshot | 11-30

I really enjoyed taking this picture, because I liked how Quinn only gave me his honest expressions. This means the Quinn didn't really pose for any of the pictures, which made for more interesting shots. I also liked editing this shot and learning about the different editing tools.

Ghost | 11-1

I chose this picture because I like the horror and mystery portrayed in the shot. I think that the photo has a neat scene going on with the ghost trying to escape.

Angle | 9-15

I chose this photo, because I like the mystery of the shot. I like how the subject has focus, but there's not a lot of clarity.

Silverware | 9-13

I chose this photo, because I love the contrast. Additionally, I love how visible the fork is compared to all of my other photos.

RGB | 12-13

I learned a lot about the editing tools in photoshop. Additionally, I learned about the lasso tool and the different techniques to highlight different areas of the photo.

Triptych | 12-19

I chose this sequence because I thought that the subject was amusing. Additionally, I like the poses seen in the photo that portray a fallen king.

Freeze & Blur | 11-9 

In this photo, I used strong subject and repetition. I had the subject appear clear while the leaves were slightly blurred to create a strong subject. Additionally, I used repetition by including the many similar leaves.

Drawing over Photo | 11-28

I chose the background and foreground for the photo by pairing two of my favorite photos so far together. Additionally, I used a variety of line sizes to add a sense of importance to some lines over others.

Triple Exposure | 12-13

I chose to edit these photos with different flowers and leaves, along with different patterns. I chose these patterns because I like them and feel that they accurately represent my likes/preferences. Additionally, I chose to edit the photos the way I did because I like the visual concept seen in each layer. 

Toy Shoot | 11-21

For the toy shoot, I enjoyed getting to learn how to use different parts of the studio to create a different tone and dynamic in each shot. Additionally, I had fun positioning and playing with toys. 

Layers & Blending | 12-8

I love the story in this shot and how it is mysterious but also fairly comedic. I loved editing this shot to express multiple different tones within the same picture.

Freeze & Blur | 11-9

In this photo, I used the leading lines of the gazebo to direct the viewer's attention to the main subject. Additionally, I like how the lights above the gazebo also help to direct the viewer's attention.

Triple Exposure | 12-13

I love the warm tones in the shot and how it expresses a warm tone that soothes the viewer. Additionally, I like the variety of layers shown in the photo. 

Abstraction | 11-30

I chose this photo because I like the clarity of the shot as well as the different textures seen in the photo. I think that the most important design elements in the photo are repetition and texture. Repetition because of the repeating floral elements. Texture because of the crinkles and creases seen on the flowers that usually go unnoticed.

Arranged Series | 10-2

This shot took me a while to take, so I appreciate the patience learned through taking this shot. I also appreciate the photoshop skills I learned in editing this shot. 

Take a Trip | 1-8

I think that this photo is funny because of my posture and expression. Additionally, I like that I naturally blend into the shot. 

Freeze & Blur | 11-9

I love the dramatic tone of the photo due to the darkened edges. Additionally, I love the story told with Quinn reaching up towards the flag. 

Selective Focus |

I like this photo because of the relaxed tone shown through the colors. Additionally, I like the use of repetition with the ducks in the background. 

One Light | 12-4

I chose this photo because I like the unique use of the fairy lights and how you can't see the strings in the photo. Additionally, I learned how to alter the setting to have the subject appear with more clarity than the lights.

Layers & Blending | 12-8

I chose this photo because I really liked the difference in the layers and how one clearly appears to be a reflection. Additionally, I learned in Adobe how to create layers and erase layers in certain areas.

Gratitude | 1-5

Ever since I was a little kid, I have enjoyed pictures. I’ve enjoyed looking at the pictures next to each other in an organized little book, comparing the memories of one photo to another. So, when creating this project, I knew I wanted to incorporate pictures that express fun and exciting moments from this semester. This is because I am grateful for the experience, which is captured in every photo with the picture. I’m grateful for the experience and the chance to remember it from here on out. So, within my process, I chose my favorite pictures from this semester and piled them into one central photo. Additionally, I incorporated flowers and frames, to indicate my gratitude for organization and natural beauty. Combined, this photo is meant to represent a positive and enjoyable experience that I will be able to look back and appreciate.
