This shot of Danny stood out to me because of the shape the mirror is in and the pose he took. It appears like a portal from this angle, into a different place.
This portrait was good because I felt like it was flawless and after some edits it became perfect. it was so perfect Danny actually wanted it and could use it in the real world.
I thought this picture was good because of the focus on the plant. I liked the selective focus project a lot because of what I could do with the subject.
Nature commonly made appearances in my work this year. I like the that the shadow acts as the leading line in this image.
Angle was a great was agreat way to be creative this year and allowed me to take pictures of almost anything. I like how in this picture gavin looks very large like he's stretching for the tree tops.
This vine was constantly in my shots because of the way the sun would hit it and how it grew out of the fence. This picture is special because the vine stands out in the picture just like how it stood out to me in real life.
For a while I fallowed Gavin as he collected samples for this independent study. This picture symbolizes Gavin's wholistic point of view and how everything around him shines brighter.
I enjoyed the ghost project a lot because it allowed us to be creative or do orignignal ghost shots. I like the variation I chose to do for this shot.
When I shot and edited this picture I knew it would be on my portfolio. From the trophies to the way Alex is lounging, this image captures success very well.
The one-light challenge was awesome and allowed me to work with my subject closely. Danny chose this pose and I think with some small edits, he turned himself into a figure and this photo embodies power.
This image was hard to shoot and took a few tries. the final product is one of my best shots and I think it looks incredibly cool and captures one of our school most unique individuals having fun being himself.
I liked learning to layer and I thought it was a cool addition to photos. in this image I was able to make a story through the mug shot like pose, and the lights that looked like police lights.
I like this image a lot and brelieve it is my most abstract image. No one was able to identity what or where this image is and I'm proud of that.
This image originally came from our first shoot. I like the edits I made and I believe it is an example of my creative ability early on in the class.
The fork assignment allowed us to edit pictures and make boring forks into cool images. The flying fork not only impressed me but made my friends from other blocks laugh as well as admire my creativity.
This project was one I was unsure about because drawing was never my skill set, especially with a mouse. However, it more so tracing and I found it to be quite cool and relaxing.
This image was very cool to me because the dits changed the original picture drastically. It went from plan to something out of a nightmare with the dark cold colors and shadows on the T-Rex.
This project was fun and I wish I had the ability to do more of it. I liked the camera work and how crucial it was in making pieces like this one.
I believe this was one of the projects I struggled wiht. It challenged me a lot creativly, however I like the sha[es and overall arrangment of the pencils in this piece.
The E.M.A.C.E photo shoot was a cool way to capture the moment in different ways. I like the story this image tells about how Danny and our group worked together to create our jack'o lantern.
This year in Photography, I learned not only how cameras can capture images through different techniques and settings, but also I learned how to find subjects that I could make interesting. This class has allowed me to see the world around me differently by applying the comprehensive knowledge I've gained to the way I observe everything. Sitting and using computers and technology is hard, however, the results that came out of my edits motivate me to continue improving in that area. This album not only represents the skills I've obtained from this class but also contains my most cherished moments from this year. I go into next semester with a more insightful lens that I hope to see through for the remainder of my life.
