Please be aware that the WSA AGM has now been moved to THURSDAY THE 9TH OF OCTOBER to avoid clashing with secondary school open evenings! It starts at 6pm in the Yoeman of England.
We have some amazing news to share! A massive congratulations to our very own Elsie, who has achieved the highest honour in Brownies, the Gold Award! This is a fantastic accomplishment that she has worked incredibly hard for, earning all of her theme awards along the way. We are all so proud of her dedication and can't wait to see what she achieves next!
This autumn, we are launching our 'Harvest for Hope' collection to support the vital work of the Hope Centre in Northampton. The centre has highlighted that demand for their services has risen sharply due to the cost-of-living crisis, meaning your support is more crucial than ever to help those in our community experiencing homelessness or hardship.
We kindly ask that all donations are brought into school by Friday, the 3rd of October, to help make a real and lasting difference.
We’re absolutely delighted to be continuing our partnership with Northampton Town FC Community Trust !
Here's to another great season ahead, full of amazing opportunities for our pupils!
This week, our Year 2 children had a fantastic trip to Rockingham Castle, bringing their history lessons to life.
The absolute highlights of the day were climbing the tall turret to see the incredible views and trying on the heavy, iron helmets to feel like real knights! From the top of the tower, the children could see for miles, helping them understand why the castle was built on a hill for protection from enemies.
They also explored the huge, original kitchen and a mini medieval street inside the castle, deciding that life with modern food choices is much better. The afternoon was spent hunting for clues to a crime in the beautiful gardens and discovering the Victorian ice-house.
Healthy Tuck has been a cherished tradition at Wootton Primary School for over a decade, and it's a highlight of the week that our children in Years 3-6 look forward to! Every Friday breaktime, our pupils have the opportunity to visit the school hall and choose from a delicious variety of healthy snacks and drinks, including ham and cheese muffins, tomato pasta, flapjacks, breadsticks, fruit kebabs, and fresh juices.
The continuation of this much-loved initiative is now at risk. We are currently short on volunteers and are making an urgent appeal to all parents and carers of children in Years 3-6 for your support.
Can you spare a few hours to help?
Friday Mornings: Approximately 9:00am - 11:30am to help with serving.
Thursday Evenings: To help prepare ingredients for the Friday morning bake.
We want to hear from you! No prior experience is necessary; all ingredients will be provided by the WSA. Please note that any volunteers assisting with food preparation will need to undergo an enhanced DBS check, which will be arranged by the us at no cost to you.
Your help is vital in ensuring we can continue to offer this wonderful service for years to come. Without your support, we will sadly be unable to run Healthy Tuck, and that would be a great shame for our pupils.
If you are able to help, please contact the school office as soon as possible by emailing office@woottonprimaryschool.org or calling 01604 761679.
Many thanks for your continued support.
