Our team of parent volunteers , the WSA (Wootton School Association), will be running our extremely popular WSA School Sweepstake to raise money for our wonderful primary school!
All you have to do is:
1. Log in to the Arbor app
2. Go to the school shop
3. Purchase a number (6 maximum - £12 per number)
4. Look out for our winning numbers being notified via email
How it works:
Our WSA School Sweep will run from Sept 2024 - Aug 2025, where you will be entered into a draw each month to win a CASH PRIZE! If your number is drawn, you win! The winners will be selected at random on the first Friday of the month, during assembly by a member of staff (usually our very own Mr Crilly!).
A maximum of 6 numbers can be purchased on Arbor and each number costs £12 for the year. Initially, there are 200 numbers available and they will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Winners will be notified in the school newsletter and via text message so please ensure your details are up to date on Arbor.
The closing date to purchase numbers is the 27th September 2024. Once the numbers have been sold we will announce the prize money and how many winners will be drawn each month. You will be notified by email your allocated numbers.
This fundraiser is open to parents, carers, family members, friends, WSA committee members and staff at the school.
We make our first draw on the first Friday of October (4th October) where we will draw both September’s and October's winning numbers.
If you do have any questions, please contact the school office on office@woottonprimaryschool.org.
Good luck to everyone and remember you have to be in it to win it!

We at Wootton Primary School are proud to be taking part in the Cif Re-Kicks Programme, partnering with The Northampton Town Community Trust and Cif, on a mission to reboot the beautiful game for thousands of young people from disadvantaged backgrounds and inspire on-pitch confidence through the restoration of used football boots.
Teaming up with England and Chelsea footballer Cole Palmer, we’re aiming to provide ‘free kicks’ to budding young players in Northamptonshire, helping them to feel pitch ready.
After conducting research with UK-wide sports charity Sported, Cif found that 97% of their community sports groups believe that their young players feel more confident playing sports when they have the right kit. However, a staggering 98% of group leaders agreed that the cost of new football boots is a cost-of-living challenge for their families.
Something needs to change. Using the power of our community, we will be collecting even the dirtiest of boots to be cleaned and re-distributed across the UK using Cif, ready for young football players ahead of the 2024/25 footy season.
Please join us in our mission and donate your used football boots to Wootton Primary School. Just come to the main office, where you will find a drop off point.
The Wootton School Association (WSA) are RECRUITING!!!
We are a group of parent volunteers who run events throughout the year to raise extra funds for the school. Our aim is to run affordable events for the children to enjoy, raising money while having lots of fun! The WSA plays a vital role in fundraising for extra curricular events that bring the whole school together.
As children move through the school and progress to secondary school we inevitably lose some of our valued volunteers and committee members. This year presents a great opportunity for new parents to join the committee and take a key role in our fundraising and event planning & execution. Roles available are….
Chair
As the Chair, you will lead the committee, ensuring it is run in line with our constitution and in a fair and equitable way. You will chair the committee meetings, setting the agenda and encourage contributions from everyone. You will need to be proactive about recruiting new members and volunteers, welcoming all who wish to get involved. You will work closely with the school to arrange events and delegate tasks to ensure the events run smoothly.
We are a LOVELY bunch, you will be fully supported in your role and given as much as help as you need to learn the ropes. It’s a great way to get to know the school and other parents and so great to see the kids getting involved at events and enjoying themselves! Please do get in touch to have chat if you think you might be interested, we would love to hear from you! Expressions of interest can be made through the school office by emailing office@woottonprimaryschool.org (Please mark for the attention of the WSA).
Important Reminder!
Don't forget to mark your calendars for the WSA AGM (Wootton School Association Annual General Meeting) on Thursday, 26th September at 7pm!
It's essential that we promote this event to ensure all parents are informed and can participate in the decision-making process for our school community. We are looking forward to seeing you there!
Add it to your calendars now and stay tuned for more updates!

A little while ago the school kindly let Georgia’s Granny take some pallets that they no longer wanted. Along with other members of her Church (St Benedicts in West Hunsbury) and a little help from Georgia they have created 2 bug hotels and made a start on a 3 bay compost heap as part of the Churchyard Conservation Scheme run by the Wildlife Trust.
How to sleep better
We all know that getting a good night's sleep is key to helping us stay both physically and mentally healthy. We all have times when we are worried or anxious about something, and this can affect how we sleep. This can then often make the situation and/or us feel worse.
The Mental Health Foundation is a UK charity that supports people to help improve their own mental health. They have a guide to helping us improve our quality of sleep, and offer some solutions if you are struggling to get to sleep. The link to their website is here, and it is well worth a read.
We are excited to announce that on Thursday, 3rd October, our caterers, Kingswood, will be providing a space-themed menu! Every child who orders a meal on this day will receive a special activity sheet to enjoy.
Please find the menu attached for your review.
Additionally, we would like to remind you that the deadline for meal orders for the upcoming week is Thursdays at 10am.
Thank you for your cooperation!
