SATs BREAKFASTΒ
The KS2 SATs are taking place during the week beginning Monday 12th May and there will be one or two tests each day until the Thursday of this week. The tests will start at approximately 9.15am, but children will be involved in relaxing techniques and βBrain Training Activitiesβ from 8.45am to prepare and energise them for the tests themselves.Β
After the success of the SATs breakfast club in previous years, we have decided to once again offer all children the chance to come into school from around 8.00am to have their breakfast in school. This will be offered free to all children. The breakfast will include: fruit juices, fruit, cereals, toast and other treats including brioche, pancakes, crumpets etc. This will all be served in the Year 5/6 shared area where children can select their food choices and then go and sit in a classroom to eat. Your child can arrive anytime from 8-8:20am. At 8:30am, the children will be able to go outside and have some fresh air like normal before coming back into the classroom at 8:45amΒ
EXTRA HOMEWORK FOR YEAR 6
A THANKYOU FROM THE OFFICEΒ
Hey parents/carers
Just wanted to give a big shout-out and say thank you so much for your patience with the office right now. We're running with a smaller team than usual, and we really appreciate you being so understanding.
Knowing you're being so supportive makes a real difference as we work hard to keep things running smoothly.
Thanks a million!
YEAR 4 CONDOVER
Our Year 4 superstars just returned from an EPIC residential trip to Condover, and the smiles say it all! They dove headfirst into adventure, soaked up every moment, and made memories that are pure gold. We're sending the biggest THANK YOU to our incredible staff who poured their hearts into making this trip an absolute triumph. You're the reason these adventures happen!Β
MAY FESTIVALΒ
A huge well done to all the children who participated so enthusiastically in the May Festival maypole dancing! Their hard work and joyful energy brought a splash of colour and tradition to our celebrations. It was wonderful to see them weaving the ribbons so skillfully and enjoying this special event together.
YEAR 2 STANWICK LAKES TRIP
On Tuesday, year 2 had a fantastic time on their trip to Stanwick Lakes. One activity was plant identification so off they went with their magnifying glasses and pictures of plants. The children were able to explore the wetlands surroundings and were really focussed on discovering plants that were new to them, such as cuckoo flowers, teasels and hawthorn. After lunch and a time spent on the play area, they then went pond dipping. Using nets, they caught water boatmen, dragonfly nymphs and water snails. They really embraced all our school values; adults were very proud of them and they were complimented on their behaviour by the staff there. Some enjoyed a short nap on the way home
VE DAY CELEBRATIONSΒ
The Year 6 children were wonderful at the VE Day celebrations at Wootton Rec last night. Their singing of the old wartime songs and the poems they recited were really lovely. Thank you so much to Wootton Parish Council for inviting us to be part of it!
Please ensure your child/children come to school in their PE kit on the following days:

Process for parents and carers if you have concerns about your child's mental health or well-being.
At times, we can become concerned about our child's health and wellbeing, and it can sometimes be difficult to know where to go for support and guidance.Β Don't forget that we have a section on our school website that can signpost you to help and guidance for both your children and for yourself.
But if you would like to bring anything to our attention, then the flowchart below will help you know who to go to and what we are able to do to help you and your child in school.
Any questions, just get in touch with your child's class teacher.
As a parent, it can often be such a worry with regards to our children.
But there is support out there.
If you have any concerns about your child, including their mental health, we can help and there are other organisations that offer support and guidance. Please speak to your child's class teacher or contact the charity Young Minds on the details below.
