Congratulations to the following pupils who have achieved their
SILVER AWARD!
We'd like to congratulate all of the children below who have now reached their
BRONZE READER AWARD!
On Monday this week, we were lucky to have some visitors, organised by the West Northamptonshire Council, in our assembly. KS1 had a real life farmer who discussed what he did on the farm and how he produced food that the children would probably eat. KS2 had an interesting talk on flooding and how we can protect our property and even prevent it. All children listened respectfully and asked insightful questions. We were very proud of the response we received from one of the visitors.
“Just wow to the perfectly behaved and engaged children of Wootton Primary.
We felt so welcome and the children's questions were fascinating. In particular the emergency planning questions were spot on and show that children really do have an amazing and innovative perception on flood management and should be listened to.”
This month, we will be holding our Scholastic Book Fair in the studio on the following dates for these year groups:
Thursday 23rd 3.15pm - Reception and Year 1
Friday 24th January 3.15pm - Year 2 and 3HM
Monday 27th January 3.15pm - Year 4 and 5L
Tuesday 28th January 3.15pm - 5C and Year 6
This will be a cashless sale. To make payments you will need to scan the QR codes at the sales desk. Once on the payment site, you will be requested to enter the school’s name and your card details to complete the purchase.
These sales have been popular in the past and with the commission made from the book sale, we are able to purchase books for our school library and classrooms too. In addition, if there is only one copy left of the title you wish to purchase, we request that you bring it to the sales desk where we will ask you to complete an order form. Orders placed usually arrive within one week of purchase.
Events like this encourage children to read for pleasure as well as being a great fundraiser for boosting our own stock of school books!
Thank you for your continued support!
The WSA are still looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help with organising enjoyable events such as fayres, discos, movie nights, and more. We also need assistance with initiatives like Healthy Tuck, Easter Raffles, and sales for Mother's and Father's Day.
Can you spare a little time to help us keep these activities vibrant for your children? If you’re interested in getting involved, please reach out to the school office at office@woottonprimaryschool.org
Your support is vital, and without it, we may struggle to continue these events. Thank you!
Did you know that the WSA now has a presence on social media with both a Facebook and Instagram account? This is an exciting opportunity for you to stay connected with them and be the first to know about upcoming events!
