Congratulations to the following pupils who have achieved their
BRONZE AWARD!
We'd like to congratulate all of the children below who have now reached their
BRONZE READER AWARD!
The Eco Warriors helped plant 2000 purple crocus bulbs each side of the drive up to the community centre last week. They were very enthusiastic and happy to get their hands dirty. The purple crocus', which were kindly donated to Wootton Parish Council by Rotary Club of Northampton West, commemorate the 99.9 % success in achieving a polio free world.
Despite battling freezing cold conditions, our Year 5 & 6 girls' football team put on an incredible performance in their recent tournament!
With determination, skill, and teamwork shining through every match, they only conceded a single goal throughout the entire day—an impressive defensive record. Their flair and talent on the pitch earned them a well-deserved 5th place finish.
Huge congratulations to the team for their hard work and amazing football!
What an incredible afternoon at the 3&4 Tag Rugby Tournament! With a whopping 27 teams competing, our children truly rose to the occasion, showcasing outstanding hard work, dedication, and exceptional teamwork.
Match after match, they played their hearts out, supporting each other and demonstrating great sportsmanship.
We're so proud of their efforts and the way they represented our school—it was an unforgettable experience for all involved!
Last week we gave children from Year 2 to Year 6 the chance to enter the Country Lion Christmas Coach Artwork Competition to showcase their artistic talent and give them the opportunity to spread holiday cheer across Northamptonshire. The team at Country Lion asked children to design a festive scene that would be featured on one of their coaches and we had lots of entries. Mrs Andrews then had the tough task of choosing the best one from each year group and the final 5 are below.
Keep an eye on the Country Lion Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/countrylionnorthants where these will appear in a public vote, along with entries from other schools. The most 'liked' design will be crowned the winner and receive a £50 Smyths Toy Shop voucher. Their design will also be revealed in a special ceremony at the winning school.
We'll update you when the designs are on Facebook.
The WSA are still looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help with organising enjoyable events such as fayres, discos, movie nights, and more. We also need assistance with initiatives like Healthy Tuck, Easter Raffles, and sales for Mother's and Father's Day.
Can you spare a little time to help us keep these activities vibrant for your children? If you’re interested in getting involved, please reach out to the school office at office@woottonprimaryschool.org
Your support is vital, and without it, we may struggle to continue these events. Thank you!
