This week we have been celebrating Neurodiversity and raising awareness of Down's Syndrome.
Children have participated in assemblies promoting understanding and kindness towards all children and adults, and that we all have things we are good at and things we find hard. With our older children, we have discussed different diagnoses and have celebrated the strengths that these can bring, as well as differences that might be challenging.
Children have done activities in classes to celebrate Neurodiversity and have designed their own socks to raise awareness of Down's Syndrome Day. There will be three sock winners who will have their design made into a real pair of personalised socks.

Thank you to the parents and carers who stopped and provided some feedback on what you think we do to support your child's wellbeing and mental health. Hopefully you found the range of leaflets we have to signpost guidance and support for you helpful.
As always, if you have any concerns or questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Process for parents and carers if you have concerns about your child's mental health or well-being.
At times, we can become concerned about our child's health and wellbeing, and it can sometimes be difficult to know where to go for support and guidance. Don't forget that we have a section on our school website that can signpost you to help and guidance for both your children and for yourself.
But if you would like to bring anything to our attention, then the flowchart below will help you know who to go to and what we are able to do to help you and your child in school.
Any questions, just get in touch with your child's class teacher.
As a parent, it can often be such a worry with regards to our children.
But there is support out there.
If you have any concerns about your child, including their mental health, we can help and there are other organisations that offer support and guidance. Please speak to your child's class teacher or contact the charity Young Minds on the details below.
