A reminder that all child absences should be reported to the school office via the absence line on 01604 761679. Please ensure that you call the school every day that your child is absent so that we can allocate their mark on the register accordingly. Unless you have discussed a specific exclusion period for your child's symptoms directly with the school office, please ensure that children are reported appropriately. Please ensure that you leave your child's name, class and their reason for absence in each message.
Please could parents also ensure that lateness is recorded on the office iPad. This will require parents to accompany their child into school and the reason for lateness should be disclosed.
Many thanks for your continued support.
Congratulations to the following pupils who have achieved their
BRONZE AWARD!
Unfortunately the Year 6 Bronzes weren't available for photos due to the school trip so we'll update the photos on Monday
Last weekend, EP competed in a swim gala at the prestigious London Aquatics Centre located within Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. Although she was feeling quite nervous, her determination paid off as she returned home with two impressive silver medals, awarded by Olympian Noah Williams himself! To top it off, her team secured a commendable second place overall!
This month, we’ve been diving into the important topic of Blind Awareness! A massive shoutout to Charlotte for leading our school assembly today and sharing her incredible journey with us. It was fascinating to learn how she reads using braille and the amazing devices that help her navigate everyday life. Thank you, Charlotte, for inspiring us all!
Last Friday, a group of Y5 and Y6 girls had a fantastic opportunity to attend a rugby festival at the Cinch Stadium, aimed at encouraging more girls to participate in the sport ahead of the Women's Rugby World Cup in 2025. The morning was filled with excitement as our team played several games against other schools, performing exceptionally well in each match. A highlight of the day was meeting Jodie Ounsley, former rugby player and Gladiator, who was interviewing participants for The One Show.
The Eco Warriors would like to say thanks to everyone who supported their pre-loved uniform sale this week! Together, they raised over £30, all while making a positive impact on our planet through clothing recycling. Your support contributes to a greener future. Thank you for making a difference!
The Eco Warriors are on a mission to collect toys for the Northampton Toy Library, and we need your help! If you're planning a clear-out and have any toys you no longer need, we would love to receive your donations. Please ensure that all toys are clean and in working order. If you’d like to contribute, kindly drop off your items at the school office. The deadline for donations is Friday, 22nd November. Thank you for supporting this wonderful initiative!

We would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to each and every one of you who contributed to our recent harvest collection. Your generosity and kindness have made a significant impact, and we are truly grateful for your support.
We are excited to share that we will be delivering the collected items to the Hope Centre, an organisation dedicated to providing vital services and support to those in need within our community. Your contributions will go a long way in helping individuals during this challenging time, ensuring they have access to essential resources and care.
A huge thank you to everyone who donated cakes and came along to our Macmillan Coffee Morning! Your generosity made the event a fantastic success raising over £80 for such a great cause.
The WSA are still looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help with organising enjoyable events such as fayres, discos, movie nights, and more. We also need assistance with initiatives like Healthy Tuck, Easter Raffles, and sales for Mother's and Father's Day.
Can you spare a little time to help us keep these activities vibrant for your children? If you’re interested in getting involved, please reach out to the school office. Your support is vital, and without it, we may struggle to continue these events. Thank you!
The WSA have the first of the WSA Discos coming up soon, the date for this is Tuesday, November the 12th. More information as we get closer to it!
How to sleep better
We all know that getting a good night's sleep is key to helping us stay both physically and mentally healthy. We all have times when we are worried or anxious about something, and this can affect how we sleep. This can then often make the situation and/or us feel worse.
The Mental Health Foundation is a UK charity that supports people to help improve their own mental health. They have a guide to helping us improve our quality of sleep, and offer some solutions if you are struggling to get to sleep. The link to their website is here, and it is well worth a read.
We wanted to remind parents/carers to please drive and park legally, safely and responsibly when dropping off and collecting your child/ren from school. We encourage parents/residents to report dangerous driving and parking using the below link.

Please THINK about emergency services, your vehicle could be blocking their access.
Please refer to the Highway Code—Rules 238—252.
Offenders may receive penalty points and/or fine of up to £100.
Please report dangerous parking/driving to the non-emergency police number 101.
