Good attendance means that children can make good, consistent progress in their
school work.
We want all of our children to have good attendance so that they have the best possible chance of success, therefore we work to ensure we take action early with any child and family where we feel concerned.
We rely on our partnership with parents to ensure that this is achieved.
We would ask parents to help the school by notifying us of all absences on the first
day, with a reason for the absence and should call daily thereafter until child returns to school. Unless there is a long term illness that the school are aware of.
Any absence which is known in advance should be requested via letter and only taken once authorisation from the school is given.
Congratulations to the following pupils who have achieved their
BRONZE AWARD!
We'd like to congratulate all of the children below who have now reached their
BRONZE READER AWARD!
Our young athletes have really excelled this week, showing amazing determination and teamwork. They gave it their all in every race, and their grit and sportsmanship made us all proud. Out of all the running events, they won all but two, what a great achievement! Thanks to their hard work, we bagged 1st place overall in our session. Huge congratulations to everyone who took part, you’ve made us proud!
The WSA are still looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help with organising enjoyable events such as fayres, discos, movie nights, and more. We also need assistance with initiatives like Healthy Tuck, Easter Raffles, and sales for Mother's and Father's Day.
Can you spare a little time to help us keep these activities vibrant for your children? If you’re interested in getting involved, please reach out to the school office at office@woottonprimaryschool.org
Your support is vital, and without it, we may struggle to continue these events. Thank you!
Did you know that the WSA now has a presence on social media with both a Facebook and Instagram account? This is an exciting opportunity for you to stay connected with them and be the first to know about upcoming events!

A note from Sue at Breakfast Club - I spent a very enjoyable evening on Saturday at the NMPAT AUTUMN FESTIVAL OF MUSIC at the Spinney Hill Hall where EC and TW were both performing, they are both members of the County Junior Orchestra. My favourite piece was the music from E T. Both boys were very smart and professional a credit to their families, NMPAT and indeed WPS!
We are thrilled to share that MC recently participated in her very first gymnastics competition, just 8 months after beginning her journey in the sport!
In a wonderful turn of events, she was awarded a special trophy for the overall gymnast of her entire club. MC's infectious smile, unwavering determination, and positive attitude have not only brought joy to those around her but have also made her coaches' jobs that much easier.
As you can imagine, MC is beaming with pride, and we couldn't be more proud of her remarkable achievement! Keep up the fantastic work!
LJ entered a Northampton Swimming Club development Gala over the weekend. She was lucky enough to meet the hugely talented Paralympian Maisie Summers-Newton MBE
What a superstar and inspiration!
A couple of weeks ago, ET joined her grandad for a litter-picking session in Market Harborough. What a wonderful way to contribute to the community!
