A big shout-out to JW, who spent a very cold and wet Friday night camping in a cardboard box with his scout group to raise money for the homeless! Despite the tough conditions (rain, 3°C, and only an hour of sleep!), JW kept going for over 12 hours and walked 18,000 steps.
Thanks to his amazing effort, he's raised a brilliant £350 for charity!
We're incredibly proud of JW's resilience and dedication. Well done!!
Last Friday, our school celebrated NSPCC Number Day, and what a day it was! Children and staff turned up dressed in fantastic number-themed costumes.
Throughout the day, the children engaged in fun maths activities and challenges. We also raised an amazing £162 for the NSPCC, helping to support their vital work in protecting children. Thank you to everyone who participated and donated!
It was a wonderful reminder that learning can be enjoyable while contributing to a meaningful cause.
Please ensure your child/children come to school in their PE kit on the following days:

Congratulations to the children who won our Friendship Stop competition. The winners were selected by members of the Anti Bullying Committee. If you can help with getting these great designs made into actual friendship stops, please email me on josmith@woottonprimaryschool.org
Back in the Autumn term the Anti Bullying Committee met with their classes and decided that the Friendship Stops around the school needed updating.
What is a Friendship stop?
We have these positioned on the playgrounds so that if children have no one to play with they go and stand next to the stop and someone will ask them if they want someone to play with. These prove very useful for those children who find it difficult to communicate their needs and for those children who lack confidence in making new friendships.
The Anti Bullying Committee ran a competition to design new friendship stops and they selected 5 winners. We now need your help. Does anyone have any contacts who are able to help to transform these designs into Friendship Stops either as banners or free standing signs, see images . If you can help please email me josmith@woottonprimaryschool.org.
To celebrate world book day Kingswood are having a special Hogwarts menu on Thursday 6th March.

Join the WSA for our next meeting on Tuesday, February 25th, at 6:15 PM at The Yeoman. We'd love for you to come along and support our work!
As a parent, it can often be such a worry with regards to our children.
But there is support out there.
If you have any concerns about your child, including their mental health, we can help and there are other organisations that offer support and guidance. Please speak to your child's class teacher or contact the charity Young Minds on the details below.
We wanted to remind parents/carers to please drive and park legally, safely and responsibly when dropping off and collecting your child/ren from school. We encourage parents/residents to report dangerous driving and parking using the below link.
