If parent/guardian forgot their password to their Home Access Center account, they must contact their child's school and ask for a data entry clerk. Pressing on the "Forgot My User Name or Password" link doesn’t work and should not be used. See screenshot below, it shows that reset link might work, but in the end, the parent won’t get a reset email.
You’ll have to reset the password on eSchool.
Go to eSchool: Registration > Student Demographic > Contacts. Find the student contact name and scroll down to the "Email and Login" section. Due to privacy, eSchool no longer allows users to view the login password for student contacts.
The first step to change the password is to create a temporary password the user can use that’s 8 characters or more. Next check the "Change Password on Next Login" box, this will allow the parent/guardian to update their password next time they login. Press save at the top right-hand corner to apply changes.
A warning will popup, press the "Yes" button to continue.
If successful, your screen should look like the one below with a green box indicating the changes were saved. The red box under the "Password" section is indicating that the password has been set.
If unsuccessful, a red popup will show on top of the screen letting you know an error has occurred. This will happen whenever the password is less than 8 characters, passwords must be at least 8 characters or more. Press the save button at the top right-hand corner to try again with a new password.
Parents/Guardians can now login with the temporary password, but will be asked to update their password as soon as they're logged in.
