Verona - MyChart
MyChart is electronic mail that patients can use to communicate with their clinician.
Nursing staff screens all MyChart messages, and symptoms-based messages are instructed to call triage.
You should respond to MyChart messages that are sent to you within 48 hours (2 business days).
To send a patient a message via MyChart, you can click the “Patient Msg” button in the top toolbar in your In Basket
To help your patients sign up for MyChart:
Find “MyChart” in the top bar where the MRN and insurance provider are listed. Here it will say if MyChart is active (“MyChart: Active”). If it is not active, click on MyChart.
Click “Launch MyChart Sign-up.”
This will log you out of Epic and allow the patient to create a log-in name and password
