The following Online and Hands-on Training Requirements must be met to be allowed to work with pyrophoric reagents in general, or those not covered elsewhere in reagent-specific procedures (e.g. organolithium reagents):
School of Chemistry module: Haz Chem 2.1 – Working with pyrophoric reagents - Overview
You must receive hands-on training from an authorised Trainer (generally academic staff, post-docs or senior group members, or technical staff)
Review the list of School of Chemistry Current Trainers to contact a suitable trainer (zID/zPass login)
If a suitable trainer cannot be found, please contact chemistryoperations@unsw.edu.au
Hands-on training must be submitted by the Trainer using the School of Chemistry Training Record Submission Form
Please attach additional files to the training submission as appropriate:
Reagent-specific or activity specific SWPs
Hands-on training checklist
Any other documents needed to capture the training covered
Attendees will need to 'Approve' the training submission
