School of Chemistry Risk Assessment and Unattended Procedure Tags

School of Chemistry Risk Assessment forms (CHEM-RA) are used in the School of Chemistry to

document, assess and minimise the risks of reactions and other procedures involving chemicals.

CHEM-RAs (see  below links) must be completed for each unique reaction (or any activity that

uses chemicals) performed in the lab and must be displayed in the lab when the procedure is being

performed.

The documentation required for safety approval to be given on chemical orders through Jaggaer can be found in the link below.  To speed up the time taken to grant safety approval, it is recommended that you have the necessary documentation prepared and email it to chemistryoperations@unsw.edu.au prior to submitting your chemical order.
