Prior to commencing work with hydrothermal autoclaves, a group must undergo an inspection in order to ensure that the necessary safety requirements outlined in the Guidance to recommence hydrothermal autoclave work and the SWP-12657 and RMF-22425 below have been met.
Note: Any groups working with hydrothermal autoclaves will also undergo an inspection every 6 months to ensure that these measures are still in place and up to date. All hydrothermal autoclaves within the School must be registered with the School Manager, Research Laboratory Manager or HSE Advisor.
Any user seeking to handle hydrothermal autoclaves should also watch the following Hydrothermal Pressure Vessel Safety Training Video and complete the online form.
