Signature Programs

Diversity INSTITUTE

An annual symposium for students, faculty, & staff; the institute allows participants to engage in trans-formative sessions that enhance cultural knowledge. It features a diversity resource fair.

Cultural Connect Week

Celebrating & connecting various aspects of diversity on UH campus during Culture Connect Week; Education Week that includes multicultural performances, faculty lectures and multicultural student organizations collaboration.

Diversity 101

The diversity workshop provides a safe space where conversation, discussion and exploration can happen over multiple levels of diversity.

LGBTQ+ AWARENESS

The workshop strives to increase awareness for the LGBTQ+ community. This includes terminology, pronouns, hetero-normative privilege, and inclusive language.

Intent vs. Impact

The workshop will provide students with awareness and understating of how statements can be hurtful to peers.

Power & PRIVILEGE

The workshop explores the dynamics of power and privilege and how it shapes our behavior/perspective.

Inclusive LANGUAGE

The workshop is focused on how/why language is important and how language can influence our environment.
