Squogre

Squogres are a group of Boar Grazer descendants the closest relatives to the Parade Squids. They are large animals, with males reaching the size of a cow-moose but still significantly smaller than the bull elephant-sized Parade Squids.

Unlike the Parade Squid that has begun evolving away from their ancestry omnivory Squogres have retained their more omnivores diets. Like the Sqbear that lives in dense forests and marshland Sqogres are cleptoparasites of other carnivores kills.

Their tusks are smaller like their ancestors along with two shorter pairs of horns derived from outgrowths in their radula teeth makes them effective tools to use with their sloping backs and large leg muscles to ram into things but most commonly each other as both genders practice inter-species combat to establish social ranks.

Despite their fearsome demeanor, the majority of their diet is from plant materials. In particular, they are very efficient at finding food underground. Their nostrils are close together and compared to most Tera Squid low on their head giving them a well-developed sense of smell and allowing them to dig up roots melons or carrion hidden under the ground.

This gives the Squogres an advantage in the harsh steps that stretch across most of Eurasia and North Africa where seasons swing between +40(c) to -40(c)
