Artist Statement

In North America, there are 75 species classified as endangered largely due to human activity such as removal of dead trees, which affect many bird habitats. The five most vulnerable North American bird species are depicted in my nest painting. Kirkland Warbler (bird on left). California condor (feather on top left). Gunnison sage grouse (feather on right). Wooping crane (feather on bottom). Ivory billed woodpecker (feather in middle).
