Digital Originals

Artist Statement

My recent pieces combine traditional & digital methods to create hybrid images that could exist no other way. My mixed media drawings are scanned and used as raw material in Photoshop. A 2D drawing may assume a 3D appearance in an imaginary environment where the floor and walls are also iterations of the original drawing. I enjoy the playful irreverence regarding the ‘role’ of art by repurposing my ‘analog’ work in this way.
