John B. Yeon State Scenic Corridor

John B. Yeon State Scenic Corridor is a 219-acre state park located on the eastern end of the Columbia River Gorge. The park is named in honor of John B. Yeon, a lumber magnate from Portland who played a critical role in building the Historic Columbia River Highway (US-30). Mr. Yeon served as Multnomah County Roadmaster from 1913 to 1917 and gave generously of his time and money to ensure successful construction of the highway. Land for the park was purchased between 1935 and 1936 and amenities include hiking trails to several scenic waterfalls in the eastern end of the gorge.
