Congressman Ralph Regula Towpath Trail

The Ohio and Erie Canal Towpath Trail is a 100-mile trail through northeast Ohio that follows the route of the Ohio and Erie Canal. The 25-mile segment of the trail through Stark County is managed by Stark County Parks as Congressman Ralph Regula Towpath Trail. Congressman Regula was instrumental in establishing the Ohio and Erie Canalway National Heritage Site. The multi-use trail is open to hikers, joggers, bicyclers and other non-motorized traffic and portions are open to equestrians.

Map:

The map is incomplete as I've only hiked the trail for about 10 miles around Massillon.

Wildlife:

Common evening primrose (Oenothera biennis )

Orange jewelweed (Impatiens capensis )

Giant ironweed (Vernonia gigantea )
