Robertson Millpond Preserve

Robertson Millpond Preserve is an 85-acre natural area in eastern Wake County near Wendell. The highlight of the park is the three-quarter mile paddle trail that leads through the namesake millpond. The millpond is unique for Wake County in that it is a blackwater cypress swamp, an environment more common further east. Robertson Millpond is one of the newest Wake County Parks, having opened in fall 2015, and as such, has limited visitor amenities. Currently, there is a parking area, a picnic shelter, a dock to launch boats, and non-potable water to rinse off boats. There are no restrooms or drinking water. Check the park's website for the latest updates.
