Smithy takes his responsibilities seriously and prides himself on being capable, intelligent and, in his own opinion, exceptionally well dressed. People often compare Smithy to Traike due to their similar positions, something Smithy finds deeply unfortunate. While he begrudgingly acknowledges Traike's competence, Smithy remains firmly convinced that he is superior. Their relationship has developed into something of a rivalry, with Smithy taking every opportunity to tease Traike about his rather obvious crush and how it occasionally distracts him from his duties. Despite his smug attitude and tendency to get under Traike's skin, Smithy's priorities are clear. When it comes to Fiona, there is little he wouldn't do to ensure she is properly looked after.
