"If we don't perpetuate our existence in books, how else would we be remembered?"

Laura is a devoted lover of books and storytelling, spending much of her time surrounded by the shelves of the library. She finds comfort in sharing stories with others and regularly reads to the younger visitors. Though she once loved reading to her son Pete, his father's ambitions have pulled him toward a very different path. Laura has found some solace in sharing that same warmth with the children who visit the library, quietly passing on the stories she wishes she could have shared more often with her own son.
