Dr. Shain once served as Dr. Daiblo's closest assistant, working alongside him and Dr. Meghaine in a laboratory built on curiosity, collaboration and genuine friendship. Shain greatly admired Daiblo, cherishing the long hours they spent working together and the brilliance he saw in his friend. When the Eclipse war began, that friendship was tested as Daiblo became increasingly determined to find a way to turn the tide. Shain watched the man he admired grow desperate, obsessive and eventually unrecognizable, yet even as their friendship began to fracture, he struggled to completely let go of the person Daiblo had once been. Professionalism kept Shain at his side as their work grew increasingly grim, leaving him caught between loyalty to his friend and the growing realization that something had gone terribly wrong.
