When his mother, Jacky, expressed her desire to start a family band, Lex stood firmly with his father, refusing to take her seriously and mocking the idea as a waste of time. Now, watching his mother with a new partner who actually supports her dream, and seeing his brother Max join in on this parade, Lex can’t help but despise them. Yet, beneath his disdain for the music and the band, there might be something deeper, perhaps a twinge of envy that his mother and brother have found happiness without him.
