Evaluation

The evaluation of the survey on Preperation career entry revealed that two-thirds of the students at all participating schools in grades 7 to 10 had already received information about careers or studies. This information came mainly from parents, teachers, classmates or career fairs. This information was also predominantly perceived as very helpful. As a result, three quarters of all students felt well to very for their future careers and were clear about their future profession. In each case, well over half of the survey participants knew about preparatory courses for careers and studies, possible institutions for training and studies and had precise ideas about their profession. It was remarkable that 71% of the respondents had already done internships. However, only half of the students felt adequately prepared for an interview.

Overall, career preparation in all schools is satisfactory to good. However, it might have been interesting to survey each school separately to find out what differences there are between the schools in Germany and Catalonia in terms of job preparation.
