Q: How long have you been teaching?
I have been teaching for 11 years, but I taught for 8 years.
Q: What college did you go to?
I went to Texas A&M University at Laredo.
Q: What degree did you graduate from college with?
Social Studies with a high school certification. I had my bachelors, and then I got my masters in history and political thought. Then, I wanted to make a bigger impact, so I got my masters in counseling.
Q: What was your inspiration to teach?
When I was in college, I was a volunteer worker at the Children’s Museum and did the robotics exhibit for elementary students, and their excitement inspired me. At first, I was set on being in finance, but when I worked at the Children’s Museum, I wanted to work with people.
Q: What is your favorite travel destination?
A cruise ship.
Q: Your favorite subject?
History.
Q: Your favorite hobby?
Playing with my kids.
Q: Do you have any pets?
I do. I have a dog named Penny. She’s a rescue. She’s going to be 4 in July.

I like football, I’m a Cowboys fan.

I live in Weslaco.
