Solar Eclipse

Joyful hearts, hopeful 

Dreams were gone in a flicker 

Dreams of a chanced sight 

Flickered like the sun and moon 

Their supposed beauty 

Disguised by the thieving clouds 

Hopeful hearts must wait  

For the once-a-life phenom 

Holding back letdown 

Until their wishes are granted 

And the eclipse smiles down.
