These are the 1-2 priority focus areas despite the whirlwind.
Q: Clarity - Is your lag measure, or what you are ultimately trying to change with your efforts, clear?
Q: Finish Line - Is there a clear finish line?
Q: Realistic - Is this a realistic and achievable goal?
Q: Alignment - Does this goal align to the vision/mission/values/strategic goals of the organization/division/department?
Q: Measurable - Can it be measured easily without having to invent a whole system?
Q: Ownership - Does your team have more than 80% ownership over the area?
Q: Team Game - Is this a team game or only a leaders game?
Q: Action - Does it begin with an action-oriented verb?
Q: Simplicity - Is it simple?
Q: Focus - Are you focusing on what you are trying to achieve, not how you will do it?
Lag Measures - tells you if you have already achieved your goal based on past action
Examples: profit, revenue, or customer satisfaction
Lead Measures - tells you if you are likely to achieve your goal
Example: average weekly hours of training
Q: Actions - What actions can you take that will change or influence the RIO/WIG?
Q: New Approach - What have we never done before that we could do to make an impact?
Q: Team Strengths - What team strengths can you leverage to help you achieve the RIO/WIG?
Q: Foresight - What weaknesses or barriers can we identify that will keep us from achieving success?
Q: Initiative - How do we overcome or avoid those weaknesses or barriers?
Q: Predictive - Is it predictive of where the lead measure will move?
Q: Measurable - Can you measure the success of the action?
Q: Influence - Will this action influence the lead measure?
Q: Ongoing Process - Is this an ongoing process or a one and done action?
Q: Team Game - Is this a team game instead of simply being a leaders game?
Q: Worthy - Is this action worth doing and measuring?
Q: Specific Focus - what specific area are you trying to influence?
Q: Verbs - what actions will you take?
Q: Audience - who will this action affect?
Q: Consistency - how often will this action occur? What are your per day/week/month goals as far as timing?
Q: Quality - what qualitative outcomes do we want to achieve? (for example, do we want it to be clear? Fun? motivating)
Q: How will we do it? What efforts can we make to achieve both consistency and quality in our actions?

Q: Reporting - What statistics/different areas will you need to report on?
Q: Tracking - Will you track the overall team performance or will you track individual performance?

Q: Frequency - Will you measure the lead measures daily or weekly?
Q: Visualization - What kind of graph or visual aid would work best to display what you want to measure?
Q: Excitement - What gets you excited about this idea?
Q: Compelling - Is the scoreboard compelling?
Q: Clarity - Does it clearly show where are we now?

Q: Ideas: Does anyone have an idea for what we can focus on to move the score?
Q: Action: What is 1-2 most important things you can do to move the scoreboard this week?
Q: Making a Difference: How will that commitment help move the scoreboard?
Q: Priorities: Is this really the most important thing I can do this week?
Q: Steps: What will you do to reach your goal?
Q: Time: When will you set aside time to dedicate to your goal?
Q: Timely: Can you finish this commitment in the next week?
Q: Outcome: What do you expect the outcome of that action to be?
Q: Importance: Is this the most important thing you can do to move the scoreboard?
