The Show
Keep a Compelling Scoreboard
Discipline 3 focuses on developing a scoreboard that tracks and measures your effectiveness on reaching the overall RIO/WIG and the lead measures your team created. People play differently when they are keeping score. Gamify the scoreboard experience and have fun with it! Feel free to customize it with quotes and pictures or theme it to a concept, as long as it is still clear at a glance how your team is doing.
Your scoreboard should quickly and easily at a glance show you or anyone who walks by:
Where is your team at now?
Where does your team want to be?
Ensure the board is readily accessible to everyone on your team. The team should be creating and updating the scoreboard; you want this to be a players game instead of a leaders game. The more ownership the team feels over the scoreboard and the results they are creating, the more engaging it will be.
Q: What statistics/different areas will you need to report on?
Q: How clear do these areas influence the lead measures?
Q: How clear do these areas influence the lag measures?
Q: Will you track the overall team performance
Q: Will you track individual performance?
Q: Will you measure the lead measures daily or weekly?
Q: What kind of graph or visual aid would work best?
Q: Will this visual display what you want to measure?
Q: What gets you excited about this idea?
This can help you determine a potential theme to customize the scoreboard
