Russian manual of anti German tanks
From my collection.
It's interesting information from the original owner.
"The brochure you bought was from a veteran tank crew, Turov Georgie Alexandrovich (Туров Георгий Александрович). He began his service on the T-60 and finished on the ISU-122. Personally, I haven't heard any stories from him, unfortunately he died long ago. But I know the biography during the war. He has received several awards and I have electronic copies of the award documents. It is known that in 1943 he served in the 50th Tank Brigade on a T-60 tank. In the battle for the village of Tikhonovka, his tank destroyed a German Panzer IV tank and up to 30 soldiers and officers. After how their tank was knocked out, Turov guarded the tank for 24 hours so that the Germans did not get it. For this he received a medal "For Military Merit". Since April 1944, Turov has been retraining as commander of the ISU-122. And from October 1944 he entered service in the 25th heavy self-propelled artillery regiment of the Polish Army. On April 16, 1945, Turov, while breaking through the defenses on the Vistula River, destroyed 4 bunkers, an anti-tank gun and 2 machine-gun crews. On April 24, 1945, at the time of heavy fighting, Turov destroyed a heavy tank, 2 anti-tank guns, a group of scouts and up to an infantry company. In this battle, the enemy set fire to Turov's ISU-122, but was put out in time and was soon able to continue the battle. And already on April 26, 1945, the ISU-122 destroyed a light tank, a mortar and up to 50 soldiers. For these battles Turov received the Order of the Patriotic War of the 1st degree. September 25, 1945 - demobilized The brochure was a set of documents for soldiers of the Red Army. There was a book of the Red Army, a military ID, 2 brochures of 1942 about Soviet tanks and about German ones, as well as a magazine of the armored and mechanized troops of the Red Army for January 1945."
The brochure was published by Воениздат НКО СССР (Voenizdat) in Moscow on 1942, authorised by Red Army.
Ten German AFVs ,Panzer IV, Panzer III, Panzer II, Panzer I, Stug III, Panzer 38(t), Somua S35, Sd.Kfz 221 and Sd.Kfz 222, are printed on the both sides, and the Soviet soldiers might have learned their weak points by using the red colored marks.
