Hey — we were talking about the legacy of the Confederacy the other day. Watching this, I learned he was the superintendent at West Point at one time. Truly a remarkable military mind and talent.
However, I still argue that his decision to take up arms against the United States — after swearing an oath to it — fits what the Constitution describes as treason: “levying war against” the United States. Because of that, I think it permanently tarnishes his legacy, even if he was a gifted general.

“Treason against the United States shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort.”
Under U.S. federal law (18 U.S. Code §2381), the punishment for treason can be:
death or
imprisonment for at least 5 years
plus fines and loss of the right to hold federal office

Message from Coon HQ,Â
taking some time to ponder what video to share with you that could showcase my piano sheet music tutorial videos. my latest creation is a melo-dramatic love song based on my reimagining of the 16th century English folk song Greensleeves representing my tragic love affair with my ex wife. This piano redention removes the sad puppy, dog energy of the original lyrics to tell my own story. Of my ex. a bit mellow dramatic.Yes , but I think it tells a compelling story that not only honors the original song but brings it into our current lives nicely
