Hot Oven Cookies

This business, the very thing that drew us together in the first place, is our baby. It is the offspring of you and I working together towards a mutual ambition of starting our own business. We both had these aspirations before we met. But it was this mutual ambition of wanting to start our own business that drew us togeher in the first place.

Chapter 12

I knew it wouldn't be easy, and that it would take a lot of work and risk. But I wanted to be a business owner because I was tired of working for someone else. I wanted to be my own boss and work with my wife and partner and best friend.

15) Hot Oven Cookies - Our Business, Our Baby

This business is our baby.

I am still heavily invested in hot oven cookies.

I still want to contribute to the success of our business.

I can still contribute.

I am a valuable part of the business.

I feel like there is a future financial reward for my investment and risk that would be deserved but not entitled.

I do love our business.

And I am very proud of what we have accomplished.

Big things are ahead of us for our business.

It breaks my heart to lose our business.

This business of ours; that we built together, that we took the Ludacris risk back in 2015 when we both had nothing.

I was crazy enough to believe in you, risk everything, and live in your son's ghetto basement for a year, all to build this business of ours.

I’m broken by the thought of leaving my jobs as a logistics guy and counter guy.

But I see no way of continuing to work together.

Take it all away from me if you want.

Sheila, you will do whatever you want regardless of what I want.
