Project Overview

This project involved the establishment and successful operation of CSC–Jordan, a specialized credit card services company. The initiative was undertaken in partnership with CSC–SAL (Lebanon) and a Jordanian partners, with my ownership share representing 20% of the company. As the Project Manager, I was responsible for leading the end-to-end setup and operationalization of the company, ensuring its alignment with both regulatory requirements and international standards in financial services.

Key Contributions and Achievements

1. Company Establishment and Strategic Partnerships:

   • Led the formation of CSC–Jordan through collaboration with regional partners.

   • Developed the organizational and operational framework of the company, including business planning, licensing, and governance structures.

2. Financial and Technical Infrastructure Development:

   • Oversaw the design and implementation of ATM driving systems, positioning CSC–Jordan as the bank switch for multiple financial institutions.

   • Established a robust card acquiring network that enabled acceptance of multiple card types — including MasterCard, Visa, and American Express — across ATMs and POS terminals.

3. Card Issuance Services:

   • Directed the setup of systems and partnerships for credit and debit card issuance on behalf of banks, with CSC–Jordan acting as a principal member for card issuers.

   • Managed compliance with international payment network standards to ensure service reliability and security.

4. Consumer Credit Services:

   • Led the launch of credit card products for individual customers, including the management of revolving credit facilities.

   • Developed and implemented credit evaluation mechanisms to assess customer creditworthiness and manage financial risk.

Impact

Through this initiative, CSC–Jordan became a recognized provider of integrated electronic payment and card management services in the Jordanian market. The project contributed to the advancement of digital payment infrastructure and enhanced the efficiency of financial transactions across participating banks and merchants.
