Lesson Plans - Day 1
Light dynamic warmup
Short intro: “What is XR? How can digital overlays improve movement?”
Learners use phones or Chromebooks to view:
A 360° video of a quarterback or baseball pitcher
(YouTube has a lot — “quarterback throwing 360” works great.)
Task:
Rotate the camera angle to identify each phase of the throw.
Learners rotate through three smartphone/Chromebook stations.
Station A — AR Model Throwing Form (6–7 min)
Learners scan a QR code that loads a 3D model of a throwing athlete in their phone.
Tools like:
Google 3D Animals/Objects
Sketchfab 3D Throwing Model (free)
Learner Task:
Walk around the model → identify stance, foot position, and arm slot.
Station B — XR Interactive Video (6–7 min)
Teacher provides a link to an H5P video (or YouTube vid with EdPuzzle-style questions).
Video includes:
Hotspots on elbow angle
Clickable cues
Mini quizzes
Learners answer short questions during playback.
Station C — Peer Shadow Throw Analysis (6–7 min)
Using smartphone slow-mo:
Learners record a partner doing 3 shadow throws.
They compare it live to the AR model from Station A.
“What is one throwing cue XR helped you understand better today?”
