Durin's Folk

Paul's Erebor

Server History

Erebor is seen as the main successor of the split up Durin's Folk faction. In the age of discovery Ollie claimed Durins Folk and started building on his version of Erebor in one of the mountain sides of the region of Erebor. He made two big mistakes when making it however. The first mistake was rather silly. The mountain side he had chosen faced North while the Erebor described in Tolkien lore faces south. This is something that confused a lot of players. Another mistake Ollie made was heavily exploited by Syferdis in the dark ages. Using a spider, Syferdis could get into the base without a problem. This is something which let to many battles fought in and around Ollie's Erebor.

Ollie put on some kind of tradition for the dwarves. Who mainly focus on building huge defendable dwarven fortresses and cities into the mountain sides. After Ollie Ironhand501 took over the faction. Ironhand was able to do this because of the support of both Thijs and kreepercraft. At the time they had a few members but they weren't active that long. Eventually only Ironhand and Thijs were left. They started to work on fortresses together to protect the dwarven lands. Ironhand eventually went inactive and Thijs took over for a short time till Ironhand returned. Ironhand was on the side of the Alliance during the great war and even part of the Alliance before they changed policy. Like Ollie before him Ironhand made a huge dwarven fortress into the mountain side.

After the faction split French Paul takes over Erebor. He invites all his French friends into the faction. Now people sometimes jokingly refer to Erebor as the French faction. Like his predecessor Paul aligned himself with Gondor and also like his predecessor he makes big fortress into the mountain side next the one Iron made. He manages to convince the inactive Ollie to give up his base and after that he connect the 3 great dwarven bases together to form a massive dwarven city were all dwarves can live.

Paul decides to join his kin in the Orocarni Conquest what gets him sieged three times. Both for revenge and for the rich recources Erebor provides. Together with the Orocarni he managed to hold the enemy off. The dwarves like to set their focus on digging in the mountains to create their halls but are often occupied with defending their homelands from invaders.

When the alliance system was released Erebor and Ironhills quickly became allies but they wanted to be closer. After trying to convince Rob for more than a day, Paul finally managed to get a vote for the merge. Two days later (20-6-2020) the results were announced and Paul won. That same day Erebor and Ironhills merged into Durin's Folk.
