Server History
The Norsca who are a custom faction inspired by the vikings. The norsca are northern raiders who descend from exiled men of Dale and Rohan wich explains their blonde hair and blue eyes, the Norsca are vicious fighters and are known for their excellent longships and the ancient dish called Meatballs.

With these words John introduced his new custom faction to the server. At the start the faction was mostly in the background and didn't do a lot. The Southern Rebellion was about to fall and the Orocarni didn't really mind the Norsca most of the people that were allies with the Orocarni or Orocarni themselves even saw themselves as friends of John. When the Southern Rebellion finally collapsed in December 2019, a lot of Southern Rebels joined the Norsca to start over again in the North. Not only the rebels saw this as an opportunity but also some of the Orocarni and their allies. Norsca rapidly started to grow and became arguably the first successful custom faction. They did ally themselves with the Bandits of Bree shortly after.
Johns reign ended at the beginning of December. He started the Norsca village with Thijs that can be found in the North. John got a beautiful Viking funeral at the docks of the village and bene was crowned king. Wolf made a tomb in his city to honor the fallen king.
At the end December friction started to grow between the Norsca and the Orocarni. Old rebels and some others were not done with the Orocarni and the Orocarni became suspicious of the Norsca. This eventually lead to war between them. It didn’t help that the former Rebel Bene became king after Johns departure of the server. When the Orocarni kicked every Norsca out of their dscord and fellowship some Norsca saw this as a declaration of war. A day later Bene declared an official war.
The Norsca gained a lot of ground during this war but eventually lost it. People started to leave the Norsca till there was no one left. Starlight the cousin of John claimed it back when the Last Alliance, were Norsca was a part of, fell into a state of decay. Starlight fought the faction of her cousin with the Orocarni at first but claimed the faction to defend johns legacy. The Norsca are slowly growing again and with the new distribution of territories at the 19th of February Norsca also got some territories again.
Starlight eventually left the faction after she herself and her players went inactive. Starlight gave her northern territories to Yiannis the king of Umbar at the time and her western islands to Tommy, a Dúnedain general. She continued traveling around Middle-Earth as the ruin princess.
A cold breeze sweeps through middle earth and rumbles can be heard in the deep, something has awoken in the crypts of the grey city.

A couple of months after Star abandoned the Norsca, John returned again. There were rumors it would happen but no one knew when. This first thing John did was to reclaim the Norsca and restore it to its former glory. Old Norscians returned but the faction didn't get as big as it used to be. With the old Norscians back the faction also got some of its former teritories back.
Months ago i was laid to rest in Whitedirewolf's catacombs. My bretheren became spread out, discord arose amongst those who once called eachother brothers. Something must be done.
And so, after months of undisturbed rest i hear the the north call my name once more and so i have decided. I, John and my dear friend Beneprediktz have reclaimed the old kingdom of Norsca and now call upon our lost brothers to reunite with us in the north under the sleeping sun. Once again our horns shall blow loudly in the night. Once again our blue banners shall sway in the wind. Once again the north shall be reunited. For the north!

The Norsca disbanded end of august 2020 when John went inactive. At that time the server was in a state of peace with some conflict brewing on the horizon. The Norsca left the Coalition and made a place for new allies. The members that were still active scattered between the other Coalition factions and the Mountains of the Wind. Only Thijs stayed behind till all the members had a new place to call home.
It is time i retire. Back in December last year i founded Norsca and i have ruled it proudly for many months but its time to let it rest. I strip myself of all lands and join my friends in Mountains Of The Wind. My reason is my inactivity, Norsca's king should not be some inactive bastard who doesnt do anything for the faction. with norscas disbanding i hope to see new conflicts between new aliances. This is the end of Norsca. Valhalla!
John - Timeline 30-8-2020
To people's surprise, Thijs became the new king and declared himself Emperor. Thijs called John and Starlight, now queen of the Mountains of the Wind, traitors but they just laughed it off since Thijs was on his own. Eventually, Norsca seemed to recover with some members returning. Thijs still enjoyed the legacy of his former king since he was able to take a lot of territories without anyone contesting them. At the time the war was in the south and didn't bother him.
-The reign of the Emperor
After a long time of peace a new war began against the Blood Pact. Thijs made an alliance with Dale and Durin's folk, succesfully defended Dalish lands from Mordor and organized the strategy for his allies. Mordor started to become less of a threat until they started working the Coalition. Many sieges were fought some lost and some won. Eventually, Durin's Folk betrayed the Northern Alliance but in turn Mordor betrayed the Coalition to fight alongside Norsca and Dale. Eventually the Coalition layed down their arms and the war was over.
Thijs Timeline 30-04-2021
The great faction of Norsca, which was founded by John 517 days ago, has been through a lot and is now finally coming to an end. Norsca has earned its place on the server. Our best hard fought moments include: leading the war of the Last Alliance and battling in the war against Dark Council. We’ve conquered as far west as Tol Morwen, far east as Mordor and as far south as Pertorogwaith. Under my personal reign Norsca has held onto 27 territories with our own army during the Dalish wars, reached most active faction, defeated the Bloodpact and pushed back the Coalition. I’d like to thank John for making this legendary faction and welcoming me there, Caillo for her undying loyalty and KingRuairi for being our most faithful ally with his faction of Dale. I regret nothing. This was your Emperor. The end
