Game Recap

Our U12A girls had a busy weekend to end September, with home games against the Jr Flyers on Saturday and Snider Hockey on Sunday.

The Jr Flyers came out flying, firing shot after shot at Layla Martin, who had a busy game and made multiple outstanding saves. Despite her best effort, the Jr Flyers managed to put 10 pucks past her to post a 10-2 win. The Lady Patriots didn't let the relentless pressure get the best of them and they continued to work hard and stay smiling throughout the game. Our Emma's were rewarded for this positive energy, with Emma Mays continuing to lead the team in scoring and Emma Sprague, one of our new U10 reinforcements, scoring her first U12 goal! Layla took home the hard hat for Hardest Worker while Molly Carder was the Star of the Game.

Sunday saw Snider Hockey visit Hatfield for our first game of October. The Patriots showed how they continue to develop as individuals and a team with an excellent effort. Improved positional play and puck movement translated to a more balanced outing, while their positivity and laughter continued to shine through. Layla Martin continued her strong play in another busy game, stopping 31 of the 37 shots thrown her way. Despite another goal from Emma Mays and the first of season from Kinley Young, Snider Hockey came away with a 6-2 win. Chicken took home the Hard Hat for her non-stop effort, while Kinley was rewarded the Star of the Game.

A fantastic weekend of hockey for our U12A Lady Patriots and a great indication of just how much this team has already progressed. We're looking bringing that U12A energy to games against Princeton Youth (Oct 20th) and Snider Hockey (Oct 22nd) in a few weeks time!

Game Recap

14UAA Game Recap 9/30

After participating in a 3V3 tournament Friday night benefiting childhood cancer, Lady Patriots 14UAA played a non league game against Genesis Bantam American Saturday night. Although Genesis came out tough  offensively in the first period, outscoring Lady Patriots three to nothing, the LP defense effectively shut down Genesis the remainder of the game allowing only one more goal in the second period. The LP offense did a good job of keeping the puck in the zone, and creating quality offensive opportunities including a breakaway goal by K. Wenhold at the 7:09 mark in the second. Wenhold scored again in the third period, a breakaway that resulted in a tripping penalty, and ultimately a power-play goal at the 13:40 minute mark. Although Genesis took the win, final score 4-2, LP looks forward to the rematch on Sunday, Jan. 21st!

Congratulations to offensive player of the game K. Wenhold for her continued effort to get the puck in the net and consistent back checking, and to defensive player of the game M. O’Neill for her great hustle and work in shutting down the Genesis offense in the second and third periods.
